“Bill Nye’s Global Meltdown” on National Geographic

The National Geographic television show was better than I expected. It aired 1 November 2015. Ultimately Bill Nye returned to Stage 3, bargaining, after briefly visiting stages 4 and 5, depression and acceptance, respectively.

The show can viewed, at least in the United States for $1.99, at this link. It’s available here, too, if you’re willing to create an account. A high-definition copy can be found here. And it’s embedded below, although it might disappear when the folks at National Geographic find it.

Note Andrew Revkin’s analysis for the New York Times. Particularly noteworthy is that the only critique he can find for my work is a 33-month-old blog post. I’ll stack my dozens of journal articles and other sources against Revkin’s faith-based junk science any day.

Tobis posted Revkin’s article on his own Facebook timeline, and then accused me in a subsequent comment of being secretly funded by the Koch brothers. I couldn’t make up this stuff. But Tobis can. And he does.

The only other media review I’ve seen is found in the 16 November 2015 issue of The Telegraph. I’m referred to as a “nutty scientist” responsible for “a scintilla of interest” creeping into the show.
