How Rapid Environmental Change Destroys Habitat: Short Video

Hall and colleagues, Wildlife Society Bulletin, Spring 1997: “We therefore define ‘habitat’ as the resources and conditions present in an area that produce occupancy—including survival and reproduction—by a given organism. Habitat is organism-specific; it relates the presence of a species, population, or individual … to an area’s physical and biological characteristics. Habitat implies more than vegetation or vegetation structure; it is the sum of the specific resources that are needed by organisms. Whenever an organism is provided with resources that allow it to survive, that is habitat.”

A priori emissions are shown in black. The grey vertical bars indicate the 4 wet seasons during the period 2018–2019. LR = long rains; SR = short rains.”

Mugs, tote bags, iPhone cases, tee shirts, and other pragmatic goods affiliated with NBL are available on Redbubble. I do not earn money from these items. Indeed, they have returned far less money than it cost to create and distribute them. I list them at the bottom of posts in this space in support of my artistically inclined partner, who created them.
