Jazz for Peace Ceremony 10 October 2020

Professor Guy McPherson was notified on 15 September 2019 that he was selected as the latest recipient of the Jazz for Peace Honorary Ambassador Award. The ceremony honoring McPherson’s Ambassadorship is scheduled for 10 October 2020 at 8:00-9:30 p.m. Eastern time. It is open to the public and will be held at Caffé Lena, 47 Phila Street, Saratoga Springs, New York. Social distancing will restrict audience seating, and the event will be livestreamed on YouTube.

Jazz for Peace was founded by pianist Rick DellaRatta in 2002. McPherson joins an esteemed group of four previous honorees: United States Congressional Representative Dennis Kucinich, renowned consumer-rights advocate Ralph Nader, American historian Howard Zinn (deceased), and the first Chinese mayor in the United States, Jean Quan of Oakland, California.
