Nature Bats Last: Song and Poem Collection

The first musical video embedded below is scheduled to Premiere on YouTube on Monday, 18 July 2022 at noon Eastern time (12:00 p.m.). An online conversation will ensue shortly before, during, and slightly after the video is shown.

I co-wrote lyrics for a song in late 2017, along with Canadian singer/songwriter Kelly Goodlad. The lyrics were published in my February 2019 book, Only Love Remains: Dancing at the Edge of Extinction. These lyrics served as the basis for a song titled, Wilderness of Love. It was recorded by Arif Leininger in early July 2022 and it is embedded directly below. Tim’s version, with beautiful images, is embedded here.

My earlier work in songwriting and poetry began more than eight years ago when I wrote a poem that was turned into a song. Poem for Earth and Pauline Schneider’s version, Doing You Wrong, can be found here. In addition, the song is embedded directly below and it is embedded on SoundCloud here.

Dutch professor Beril Sirmacek read a poem from my 2019 book, Paper editionGoing Dark (Revised, Second Edition). Professor Sirmacek provided the music as she read this poem, which was released 4 May 2022 and is embedded directly below.

AfriZen wrote a song based on my message in mid-2014: Nature Bats Last is embedded from SoundCloud below, and it is listed on SoundCloud here. It was used as the theme song for my radio show since the show initially aired on 6 August 2014 until the final episode aired on 6 July 2021.

European musician Frank Weening created music using my voice and also the voice of professor Beril Sirmacek in mid-December 2021. The song is embedded below.
