Publication in Academia Letters

Academia is an online platform committed to sharing academic work. It is used by academics from nearly 17,000 universities, and its database includes 22 million papers. Thirty-one million academics, professionals, and students read papers on Academia each month.

Academia publishes peer-reviewed papers using a relatively rapid and transparent process for review and publication in Academia Letters. I was asked to write a paper for this publication in late November 2020. I submitted a paper on 3 December 2020 titled, “Rapid Loss of Habitat for Homo sapiens.” The paper was accepted by 3 reviewers on 20 March 2021, contingent upon my making relatively minor revisions.

I submitted a revised version of the manuscript on 21 March 2021. This revised manuscript was accepted for publication on 1 April 2021. “Rapid Loss of Habitat for Homo sapiens” was published as Letter 498 on 1 April 2021, and can be read here.
