The Foreseen Future Becoming Reality

A scene from the 1967 film, The Graduate is embedded below. It describes the coming importance of plastics (produced from oil).

In 1992, George Carlin pondered our future in light of our obsession with ourselves, and also in light of our obsession with plastic. Only 35 years after The Graduate appeared on the scene, Carlin envisioned our near-term demise while providing one of the reasons for our impending extinction.

Mugs, tote bags, iPhone cases, tee shirts, and other pragmatic goods affiliated with the latter book, and with NBL in general, are available here (and also on Redbubble). I do not earn money from these items. Indeed, they have returned far less money than it cost to create and distribute them. I list them at the bottom of posts in this space in support of my artistically inclined partner, who created them.
